LIfe in Laos

Just a few quick shots from life in Laos (more substantial blog postings to come)

Rare is the moment that you find yourself downtown, with a camera, when the fountain is on and all lit up. This fountain is the centerpiece to downtown Vientiane and apparently a popular place for Lao teenagers to hang out in the shadows.

This dog decided to take a nap on the busiest street corner in Vientiane. Drivers and pedestrians did double takes. We even had a conversation with the woman on the motorcycle next to us about how strange the dog's choice of a resting place was.

And, of course, our dog--everyone's favorite part of the blog. Here Berry contemplates a new treat from the U.S. It took her a few moments but she soon realized it was better than the bones from Thailand we have been giving her.
