The Tad Lo Lodge has a couple of elephants that apparently love to take baths. In the less than 24 hours we were at the lodge, we watched them bath three times. Actually, "love" might be the wrong word. It takes some serious coaxing (including jumping on their backs) from one of their mahouts to get them in the water and much like a small child they try to act like they are do bathing even though they haven't washed their face or hair. Only when satisfied does the mahout jump onto the nearby rocks and the elephant happily exits the water. The whole process is surprisingly entertaining, even the third time.
