We have lots of fond memories of Laos and we were able to spend our last few days doing many of the things we enjoyed most.

Our stomachs will also miss Laos a great deal. I don't want to let the secret out but Vientiane is an eater's paradise: tons of good food at affordable prices.
Vietnamese sandwiches
Passion fruit juice
Carrot/Orange juice (everyone is skeptical until they try it)
And my personal favorite: Khao Piak
Eating this dish is an elaborate process. First start with the dish as it is served--noodles, pork, various greens, fried onions.
Add a little tangy sauce
Chilies
Ginger
Squid sauce
Finish with a little bit of lemon juice and you have this:
