Before arriving in Hoi An we had heard about the amazing shopping opportunities and the beautiful architecture, but the most enjoyable part of Hoi An (by far) is the food. And since it rained the entire time we were there we had plenty of chances to sit in restaurants and eat. We had delicious Vietnamese dishes (including Hoi An specialties), Euro-Asia fusion, and tasty desserts. We are hungry just thinking about it. Thankfully we managed to get a few pictures of the food before they ended up in our bellies.
White Roses (a Hoi An specialty)
Wontons (actually tasted almost like a Mexican taco)
We don't remember what these were called but they were superb
An old classic but so good
Cao Lau
Squid stuffed with spring roll ingredients
Beef stuff in vegetables, tied with vegetables
Prawns wrapped with beef (now that is surf n' turf)
Fried wontons stuffed with crab
Local beer
Local wine from Dalat
