I'm Back and Our Stuff is Here

After a wonderful month in Iowa enjoying friends and family I arrived back to Vientiane yesterday afternoon.  The journey back to Laos was uneventful except for one lesson learned.  On my flight from Korea to Bangkok I was resting nicely with my head on the tray table in front of me, when a very rude person in front of me decided to put his chair all the way back causing my neck and head to bend in ways it really shouldn't.  I had always thought it was against all the rules to put your chair all the way back in economy class.  Therefore I proceeded to ask the flight attendant to please ask the man in front of me to put his chair up a bit. (I had to ask the flight attendant because the man either didn't speak English or Lao or was just ignoring me.)  The flight attendant looked at me like I was asking for a million dollars.  She said no and then just pushed my chair all the way back almost spilling the drink of the person behind me.  Lesson learned it is not rude to put your chair all the way back on flights in Asia.

Neal picked me up from the airport and we rushed home for a quick bite before the movers arrived with the rest of our belongs.  I can't say I was excited for our stuff to arrive the same day I got back but everything turned out pretty well.  Neal was right about our guard dog not being much of guard.  As soon as the movers arrived she went to hide and didn't show her face until they left.

Pictures of the house to come.
